Style SPF: Retro Styling

Among one of this seasons mega trends are retro inspired silhouettes. Though generally 1970's was the TOP trend, 1950's inspired shapes played a big role in styling. Lingerie inspired swim wear with beautiful 50's style high waisted bikinis, and corseted one piece dominated the runway. (Great news for girls with feminine curves)

1970's style teeny bikinis and monokinis with plunging necklines are also some key styles. Many designers used crochet to get an authentic vintage vibe. Are you a 50's beach babe, or 70's poolside diva? I love them both!!! It's hard to choose. While I find the 50's look beautiful and refreshing, the thought of the tan lines is a bit overwhelming.
